PURPOSE: A self elevation device for a barge is provided to ascend and descend the entire barge using each leg pipe which is ascended and descended in a gear driving operation method. CONSTITUTION: A self elevation device for a barge comprises a ship body(11), a jack house(20) and a leg pipe(30). The ship body has the flat and wide bottom. A jack house is installed on the each edge of the ship body. The leg pipe is inserted to the jack house, and moves and fixes the barge. A rack gear(100) is combined in the both side of the led pipe in the longitudinal direction of the leg pipe. An inside diameter(40) consisting of a pair of half circle forms is inserted to the jack house. A combining member(50) which is combined in the jack house is mounted on the both open sides of the inside diameter. A pinion gear(200) is meshed with the rack gear of the leg pipe and is formed on top of the combining member.
