PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for forming a notch in a rubber specimen that always, certainly improves the notch forming accuracy in the rubber specimen and greatly raises the reliability of a measurement result of physical properties such as adhesive strength. SOLUTION: A sample stand 4 for mounting a strip rubber specimen at a flat attitude is disposed. A pair of cutter stands 5 and 6 for holding cutters 7 and 8 for forming a notch in respective side sections of the rubber specimen at predetermined positions of the thickness direction of the rubber specimen are arranged in the side sections of the sample stand 4. The sample stand 4 and the pair of cutter stands 5 and 6 are relatively displaceable in the length direction of the rubber specimen. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
