<p>The method involves monitoring a pneumatic conduit by measuring pressure in the pneumatic conduit, where the pneumatic conduit interconnects a position controller of an actuator (1) and a magnetic valve (4), and switching the magnetic valve from a state to another state at time, where the latter state of the magnetic valve vents the magnetic valve and pneumatic conduits. The magnetic valve is switched from the latter state to the former state at another time, where the actuator and a safety valve do not change position when the switching time of the magnetic valve is small. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring the functionality of an actuator for a safety valve, comprising a pressure sensor.</p> |
