METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CERAMIC FILTER

The invention relates to machine building and can be used at manufacturing the fine filters for liquids and gases. A method of manufacturing a ceramic filter includes producing a housing from high-temperature ceramic material of honeycomb form and a moulding catalyst bed on the internal surface of cells. The internal surface of cells and pores of the walls between them is covered by micro- and nanofibers of silicon carbide. Cu-Co-Fe oxides are used as material of catalyst. The catalyst is formed on the surface of micro- and nanofibers of silicon carbide preliminarily etched in hydrofluoric acid. The method provides for manufacturing inexpensive, effective and designed for long-term work filters for cleaning exhaust gases of the internal combustion engines.
