摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice recognition apparatus having an improved voice recognition rate as compared with a conventional technique in a site such as a plant in which large noise is generated. <P>SOLUTION: In the voice recognition apparatus, a microphone array 10 includes four microphones 1-4 arranged on respective vertexes of a regular triangular pyramid for instance. A subtraction type array circuit 30 generates cardioids for generating zero points from respective microphones 1-4 in directions to respective microphones 1-4 by using a subtraction type array method based on voice signals from respective microphones 1-4, and also generates a plurality of cardioid signals corresponding to these cardioids. A signal evaluation and selection circuit 50 detects and selects a plurality of cardioid signals having higher signal to noise ratios out of the plurality of cardioid signals, adds the plurality of selected cardioid signals, and outputs a cardioid signal which is the added result. A voice recognition circuit 52 performs voice recognition, based on the cardioid signal, and outputs a voice recognition result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
