MODEM SOC FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION USING BLOCK CIPHER AND WIRELESS MODEM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A modem chip applying a block cipher for a wireless communication and a wireless communication modem including the same are provided to perform an encryption and a decryption at high speed using the modem chip including an encryption module and a decryption module. CONSTITUTION: A CCM encryption and decryption module(170) encrypts or decrypts data in a CCM(CTR+CBC-MAC) mode. A DMA(Direct Memory Access) module(150) receives the data from a memory using an AHB(Advanced High-performance Bus). The DMA module outputs the data from the memory. A DPC(Data Path Controller) module(160) transmits the data from the DMA module to the CCM encryption and decryption module. The DPC module transmits the encrypted data by the CCM encryption and decryption module corresponding to the transmitted data to the MAC(Medium Access Control) module.
