PURPOSE: An earth bolt chuck used in the stud welding of an earth bolt is provided to minimize a lift gap and to improve the stationarity of an earth bolt in the stud welding. CONSTITUTION: An earth bolt chuck used in the stud welding of an earth bolt(3) comprises a fixing unit(2). The fixing unit is formed on the end of an earth bolt chuck and fixes an earth bolt. A barrier groove(5) is formed on the leading end side inside diameter of the fixing unit. The barrier groove fixes the earth bolt on the end. The barrier groove comprises an incline(6) and a vertical plane(7). A screwnut cylindrical body(12) of the earth bolt is accepted to the right side of incline.
