PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for configuring a widget loading capacity are provided to confirm the state of the occupied resources when configuring an idle screen. CONSTITUTION: A memory(117) stores at lease one widget, at least one idle screen panel, and the occupation resource size of the resources that the widget is going to occupy. When the widget is added/deleted to/from the idle screen, a resource occupation state calculating unit(119) sums up the occupied resource size of the widgets included in the idle screen panel. The resource occupation state calculating unit calculates the resource occupation state of the widgets included in the idle screen panel, and a display unit(121) displays the calculated resource occupation state.
