<p>A method of modelling a subterranean region of the Earth at a first location comprising the steps of: providing geological data; providing a distribution of rock physics probability; selecting a plurality of facies; modifying or approximating the rock physics probability distribution using spatial dependencies or combinations of facies in a window and performing a Bayesian inversion at the first location. Preferably the distribution is skew normal, elliptical or Gaussian. A program for carrying out such a method via a computer is also claimed.</p> |
