PURPOSE: A remote controller and a control method of a passive control apparatus using the same are provided to control an apparatus to be controlled by using a single remote controller. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(10) receives a signal for operating a controlled device, and a control beam generating unit(30) generates a control beam irradiated to plural controlled devices. A control unit(40) controls the control beam generating unit to create a control beam corresponding to the operating signal inputted to the input unit. A control beam guide unit(50) reduces an irradiation angle range of the control beam generated in the control beam generating unit. An information reception unit(60) receives the information of the controlled device.
