Bundle of fibre optic waveguides (18) are laid from blade hub to tip. Light (14) at hub provides light for waveguide which is emitted at tip of blade (16) as warning light to aircraft. Light is set to go on at certain time of day, position of blade or light level. INDEPENDENT CLAIM for wind energy plant with control to switch on optics when blade is at specific position.
