PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system for measuring a charging current by a current detection resistor, which properly corrects an error of temperature measurement of a battery pack due to the generation of a charging current. SOLUTION: The battery pack has: a positive terminal; a negative terminal; a secondary battery cell connected between the positive terminal and the negative terminal; a temperature detection element having one end connected to the negative terminal; and a temperature terminal to which the other end of the of the temperature detection element is connected. The charging device has: connections of the temperature terminal; a first voltage measuring means for measuring the voltage of the connections; a current detection resistor for detecting the charging current in charging the secondary battery cell; a second voltage measuring means for measuring the voltages of both ends of the current detection resistor; a temperature determining means for determining the temperature of the battery pack based on results of subtracting a second voltage from a first voltage; and a control unit for controlling the charging based on results of determination of the temperature determining means.
