A METHOD OF EXTRACTING ANTIOXIDANTS FROM PINE TREES

PURPOSE: A method for extracting an antioxidative material from Pinus densiflora is provided to isolate proanthocyanidin of high yield and purity and use in a functional health food, medicinal and pharmaceutical product or cosmetic product. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting an antioxidative material from Pinus densiflora comprises: a step of performing subcritical extraction at 50-170°C for 100 to 250 minutes to obtain subcritical extract; and a step of adding 500-1500ml of water based on 100g of Pinus densiflora and extracting using hot water at 80-175°C. The subcritical fluid is carbon dioxide and antioxidative material is proanthocyanidin.
