LIGHTNING DAMAGE MONITORING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A lightning damage monitoring device is provided to identify time, location, status of damage on a transmission equipment by lightening from a remote location and to rapidly repair a damaged transmission equipment. CONSTITUTION: A lightening detecting unit(1) senses a waveform of lightning stroke, and a width of the lightning stroke and a peak value. An AD(Analogue to Digital) converter(2) changes an analog signal of a lightning stroke detection unit to a digital signal. A GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver(3) receives a time data and a position data from a satellite. The MCU(Micro Control Unit)(4) analyzes the digital information for the lightning stroke. The lightning stoke damage is judged. A zigbee module(6) wirelessly transmits a transmitted data provided through the MCU to a remote monitoring system.
