PURPOSE: A positive electrode active material is provided to ensure high capacity and rechargeable cycle characteristic, and to realize high voltage charging, high energy density and good rechargeable cycle. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode active material comprises particles including a positive electrode material capable of absorbing and discharging electrode reactive materials, and a film installed at some of the particles. The film has peaks C2H5S+, C3H7S+, or C4H9S+ obtained by cation analysis through time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry.
