PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to improve a structure of the cleaner to conveniently control the cleaner using one hand. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner comprises an outer pipe(1), a pipe length controlling unit(3), an inner pipe(2), and an interlocking unit. A suction hose(4) is fixed to the outer pipe. A guide hole is formed in the outer pipe in a longitudinal direction. The pipe length controlling unit is moved along the guide hole of the outer pipe. The inner pipe is installed to be slid into the inner side of the outer pipe. The interlocking unit is installed in the pipe length controlling unit and the inner pipe so that the length of the inner pipe can be controlled.
