PURPOSE: A kit and method for identifying microgamete are provided to detect a gene which is specifically expressed in microgamete in birds and research of identification and isolation of sperms and differentiation of birds. CONSTITUTION: A kit for identifying microgamete of animals contains a nucleotide sequence of sequence number 2, 5, 6, 10, or 12 and complementary sequence of nucleotide fragment thereof. The animals are mammals or birds. A method for identifying microgamete of animals comprises: a step of hybridizing DNA or its fragment isolated from cells with the nucleotide sequence; and a step of confirming hybridization. The animals are chicken, turkey, duck, geese, or pigeon.
