PURPOSE: A short circuit sensor for an outlet is provided to improve electrical safety by alarming after detecting the short of the AC power applied to an outlet. CONSTITUTION: A leakage current detection unit(10) detects the zero-phase current of the AC power source applied to an outlet plug. A phase correcting circuit part(12) compensates the phase of the zero-phase current detected from the leakage current detection unit. An amplifier(14) amplifies the current of the phase correcting circuit part. A reference voltage sync generating circuit part(18) generates the synchronizing signal of the reference voltage from the AC power source applied to the outlet. A controller(16) outputs a control signal by integrating and computing signals of the amplifier and the reference voltage sync generating circuit part. An abnormality detector(20) visually displays the abnormality by the control signal of the controller.
