<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device with which an exact operation is carried out even if a disconnection or the like arises relating to a scanning line, and which is equipped with such a TFT preventing the incidence of light on its channel region as much as possible and thereby performs exact image display. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device is provided with a substrate, on which a semiconductor layer (1a) which has the channel region (1a'); a gate electrode (3a) which is laminated on the channel region; the first scanning line (11a) which is laminated on the lower side of the semiconductor layer and is electrically connected to the gate electrode; the second scanning line (3a1) which consists of the same film as that of the gate electrode and extends along the elongating direction of the first scanning line; a relay electrode (719) which is electrically connected to the drain region and aligns its longitudinal direction to the extending direction of the first scanning line and the second scanning line; and a pixel electrode (9a) which is electrically connected to the relay electrode, are provided. The second scanning line and the relay electrode layer are composed of a light shieldable material and the edges of the relay electrode are so constituted as to cover the edge of the pixel electrode when flatly viewed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
