A method for predicting the course of the arterial hypertension comprises the assessment of the daily pattern of the arterial blood pressure, morphofunctional characteristics of the heart, and neurohumoral parameters. In the children and adolescents with the primary arterial hypertension, besides the diurnal pattern of the arterial blood pressure, the following parameters are assessed: index of myocardial mass of the left ventricle, the activity of plasma renin, the levels of angiotensin II and aldosterone, The absence of the adequate night reduction of the arterial pressure (less than 10% as compared with daytime level) or the night increase of the arterial pressure («non-dipper», «night-peaker») with accompanying increase in myocardial mass index of the left ventricle above 60.0 g/m, the increased activity of plasma renin (above 1.76±0.53 ng/mL/h), angiotensin II (above 28.8±3.71 pmol/L) and aldosterone (above 41.85±3.71 pg/mL) are indicative of the unfavorable course of the disease predicting the heart lesion. |
