PURPOSE: A tong apparatus for an excavator is provided to easily and securely pick up heavy objects. CONSTITUTION: A tong apparatus(300) for an excavator comprises an upper tong unit(310), a lower tong unit(320), and a support link(330). The upper tong unit comprises a pair of upper support plate(311L,311R) and tong members(314). The lower tong unit comprises a pair of lower support plate(321L,321R) and tong members. A tooth cap(350) is covered at the front end of the tong member of the upper tong unit and the lower tong unit. The support link lifts the lower end of the lower tong unit when front part is lifted around a link shaft(312) and lowers the lower end of the lower tong unit when the front part of the upper tong unit is lowered. |
