A method for preparing diaryl carbonate derivative is provided to prepare a diarylcarbonate derivative at high yield by using an alkali metal catalyst without reactive distillation. A diaryl carbonate derivative is prepared by performing transesterification reaction of diarylcarbonate and a hydroxyl compound derivative of chemical formula 1. The compound selected from the group consisting of LiOH, NaOH, KOH and their mixture is used as the alkali metal catalyst. In chemical formula 1, R1 is independently C1-18 chained or branched alkyl group, C6-12 aryl or C7-12 aralkyl group. The alkali metal catalyst is used in the amount of 1.0x10^(-7) ~ 1.0x10^(-3) moles based on 1 mole of diarylcarbonate. |
