A pane or panel 2 is located in a sash or frame 1 by a number of chocks e.g. 6, 7, which can be adjusted by grub screws from outside the sash. Each chock may comprise a grub screw acting on a block, e.g. 10 having an integral projecting pin 8 (Fig. 2), or on a movable one 27 of a pair of wedges (Fig. 9), which may have currugated co-acting surfaces, or on a channel-sectioned member 13 (Fig. 4, not shown), with a threaded bore in the web of the member, or directly on the base of a channel-sectioned member 15 (Fig. 5, not shown), or on a T-sectioned member 17 (Figs. 6, 7, not shown) with a threaded bore in its stem, and fillets which engage in slots in the frame, or between the flanges of a U-shaped member 22 (Fig. 8, not shown), the flanges being generally parallel to the frame, and the outer flange having an L- shaped extension with a threaded bore therethrough, or a second grub screw 33 (Fig. 10, not shown) acting directly on a block. |
