<p>PURPOSE: A composition containing cinchonine for preventing or treating obesity, dyslipidemia, fatty liver, or insulin resistance syndrome is provided to reduce body fat, total cholesterol concentration, and neutral fat in plasma. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating metabolic diseases including obesity, dyslipidemia, fatty liver and insulin resistance syndrome contains a cinchonine as an active ingredient. The cinchonine is derived from a plant such as Cinchona, Cinchona officinalis, Cinchona pubescens, Olea europaea, or Smilax china. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating obesity, dyslipidemia, fatty liver and insulin resistance syndrome contains therapeutically effective amount of the composition for preventing and treating metabolic diseases and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.</p> |
