APPARATUS AND METHOD OF TRANSIT INPUT LANGUAGE BETWEEN KOREAN AND ENGLISH IN MOBILE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A Korean-English converting unit of a potable terminal and a method thereof are provide to enable a user t o input Korean on an alphabetic key board without pressing Korean-English conversion key. CONSTITUTION: A virtual keyboard(120) is marked on a touch screen(110). The virtual keyboard generates a scan code of a key corresponding to a coordinate on the touch screen in which the touch is deregulated. An overlay processing unit(130) decides the key of the virtual keyboard corresponding to the touched coordinate on the touch screen when an overlay button(150) is pressed while keeping the touch on the touch screen. The overlay processing unit overlays the Korean key corresponding to the alphabetic key when the input language is English. The overlay processing unit overlays the alphabet key corresponding to the Korean key when the input language is Korean.
