APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CAVITY TYPE PATCH ANTENNA

PURPOSE: A cavity type patch antenna and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce component and assembly costs by injection-molding a carrier with a cavity box structure and a planar metal frame. CONSTITUTION: A cavity type patch antenna device(100) includes a radiator(110), a ground unit(120), a feeder(130), and a carrier(140). The radiator is comprised of a metal plate. The ground unit is contacted with a substrate(200). The feeder connects the radiator with a feeding pad(210). The feeding pad is formed on the substrate. The carrier has a cavity box structure which surrounds the ground unit and the planar metal frame forming the radiator.
