PURPOSE: An electric-powered steering column is provided, which absorbs impact delivered to the steering column and reduces crush injury of an operator effectively. CONSTITUTION: An electric-powered steering column comprises a drive motor, a column inner tube(2), a column outer tube(3), and a power transmission unit. The column inner tube is rotatably installed in the mounting bracket(1) mounted in the car body by the medium of the tilt hinge. The column outer tube is combined with the inner tube in the axial direction. The power transmission unit transfers the torque of the drive motor to the column outer tube and makes the column outer tube rotated by the axial movement.
