PURPOSE: A method for controlling the power off state of an electric dehydrator is provided to block the power in a short circuit by differently setting allowable current values in a power supply point and a dehydration point. CONSTITUTION: A first allowable value and a second allowable value are set for blocking a current(S1). When power is initially supplied to an electric dehydrator, a current value is detected(S2). The current value is compared with the first allowable value. If the first allowable value is smaller than the current value, the current value is compared with the second allowable value after a preset time(S4). If the current value exceeds the first or second allowable value, power is blocked(S7).
