PURPOSE: A composition containing Mori folium extract of a compound isolated from the same is provided to ensure antagonistic activity to Melanin Concentrating Hormone(MCH) and to control anxiety or depression. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating depression and suppressing appetite contains Mori folium fraction. A Mori folium fraction is obtained by extracting using alcohol, removing alcohol, suspending with distilled water, and fractioning dichlrodomethane, butanol or hexane. A method for preparing a compound of chemical formulas 1-6 comprises: a step 1 of adding alcohol to Mori folium to obtain Mori folium extract; a step of suspending the extract in water and fractioning with dichloromethane to obtain dichloromethane fraction a step of performing column chromatography to obtain active fraction; a step of performing column chromatography again to obtain active fraction; and a step of performing silica gel column chromatography to isolate a compound of chemical formulas 1-6.
