PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom in carrier selection according to the load characteristics of an inverter in a direct conversion device including a converter and a plurality of inverters by differentiating the essential carrier frequencies in a plurality of inverters from each other while performing operation synchronously with the converter.

SOLUTION: An original carrier C20 includes a carrier frequency equal to two times of the carrier frequency of a first carrier C1 for use in control of an inverter. A second carrier for use in control of a second inverter is obtained by enlarging the waveform of the original carrier C20 by a factor of two around a value drt.
