<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which facilitates selection of the best imaging mode in accordance with imaging conditions. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device 3 converts light from an object into an electric signal, a video signal processing part 4 generates a video signal based on the electric signal, and a face detection part 5 detects a face of a human contained in the object on the basis of the video signal. An imaging state setting part 23 attains an imaging state corresponding to a plurality of imaging modes when imaging the object. When successively switching the plurality of imaging modes by an operation part 7, a control part 6 executes control so as to make the order of switching the imaging modes be different between a first state where the face detection part 5 does not detect the face of the human and a second state where it detects the face of the human. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
