SOLUTION: The image processing device includes: a filter applying part 204 which performs contour emphasizing processing of set degree to an image signal that is to be an object to be processed, and supplies the processed image signal to a display panel side; and a filter selecting part 208 which sets the degree of contour emphasizing processing according to the kind of image designated by an image kind identification signal Msp. The filter applying part 204 further performs the contour emphasizing processing of set size, and the filter selecting part 208 sets the size of the contour emphasizing processing according to the moving speed designated by a moving picture speed identification signal Mv.
