<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system suppressing the possibility that radio interference occurs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: According to the communication system 1, an MFP (Multi Function Peripheral) 10 determines a communication system of radio communication 100 by a DCL (Digital Cordless) for each slave unit in accordance with a direction to the MFP 10 from a slave unit 50 (slave unit 70) and an access point 90, that is, the degrees of radio interference which the radio communication 100 by the DCL receives from radio communication 200 by a WLAN. That is to say, the MFP 10 sets a communication system optimal to the radio communication 100 by the DCL for each slave unit in accordance with the degrees of radio interference which the radio communication 100 by the DCL receives from the radio communication 200 by the WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network). Consequently, the radio communication 100 by the DCL suppresses the possibility that radio interference received from the radio communication 200 by the WLAN occurs.
