PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a failure release system which can promptly perform a failure release while considering security. SOLUTION: An image forming device is provided newly with a jam notifying button portion 100, a jam notifying portion 103 reading jam information from a jam information storing portion 102 in response to an operation and transmitting the jam information to an operator computer 500 through an NIC 69, and a calling controller 104 calling to a telephone of an operator concurrently with the jam information transmission.
