PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion proof camera vessel that is made compact, stores a camera having a zoom function, and can clearly recognize a monitoring target even when the distant monitoring target is extended by the zoom function. SOLUTION: The explosion proof camera vessel includes a vessel body 10 for setting the camera 1 having the zoom function inside it, and a glass member 20 for transmitting light. The vessel body 10 is made of a material having strength allowing bearing of the explosion inside it, and an opening 11g allowing peeping into a lens 1a of the camera 1. The glass member 20 is molded in a dome shape by reinforcing the optical glass, and blocks the opening 11g of the vessel body 10. The explosion proof camera vessel has, in the vessel body 10, a pedestal 15 that can fix a pan-tilt-type camera 1 capable of turning the optical axis in an optional direction and can adjust the fixing position of the camera 1.
