PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition for dish washers, having excellent detergency to protein stains and the like and excellent in foam suppressing property. SOLUTION: The liquid detergent composition for dish washers comprises≥0.1 wt.% but <1 wt.% specific PO-EO-PO type nonionic surfactant (A) represented by general formula (I) shown bellow, a builder (B) and alkenyl succinic acid metal salt (C), wherein the weight ratio of (A) and (C) is (C)/(A)=2/3 to 10/1. HO(CH(CH<SB>3</SB>)CH<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>a</SB>(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>b</SB>(CH(CH<SB>3</SB>)CH<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>c</SB>H (I).
