PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of precisely calculating an amount of gas adsorbed on a gas adsorbing material by using a capacity method. SOLUTION: In the method of intermittently supplying the gas into a sample container in which the gas adsorbing material is housed or discharging the same from the sample container over a plurality of times and calculating the adsorbed weight of the gas adsorbed by the gas adsorbing material at every supply or discharge of the gas from pressure and temperature at every supply or discharge of the gas using a state equation of gas, its state equation is adapted using a value, which is obtained by subtracting the volume of the gas adsorbing material and the adsorbed volume of the gas adsorbed by the gas adsorbing material from the inner volume of the sample container, as the free space volume of the sample container to calculate the adsorbed weight of the gas.
