PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer capable of improving the reliability of analysis without sacrificing the analysis processing capacity of the analyzer. SOLUTION: The automatic analyzer includes: an operating state determining part 100a for determining whether the operation state is a state to dispense a sample by a sample dispensing mechanism 50 during analysis processing of a series of samples to be sequentially accepted; an accuracy analysis control part 100b for dispensing a pigment solution to a reaction vessel 30a predetermined times by the sample dispensing mechanism 50 and controlling to measure the absorbance of the dispensed pigment solution until the operating state becomes the state to dispense a sample by the sample dispensing mechanism 50 when the operating state determining section 100a determines that the operating state is a state to dispense a sample by the sample dispensing mechanism 50; and an accuracy right/wrong determination part 100c for determining whether the dispensing accuracy of the sample dispensing mechanism 50 is normal based on the absorbance of the pigment solution measured predetermined times.
