<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseismic reinforcing method and a reinforcing piece for reinforcing a column of an existing building without substantially affecting an opening part and an interior space of the existing building. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the antiseismic reinforcing method for seismically reinforcing the column 152, in particular, of a column-beam frame 15 comprising the column 152 and a beam 151 of the existing building, an opening-part-side face 15a of the column 152 arranged in the opening part of the column-beam frame 15 is held between reinforcing units 10 which are integrally inserted between upper and lower beams 151 in the state that free ends of I-shaped reinforcing pieces 20 are connected to each other. Each of the I-shaped reinforcing pieces 20 comprises a bottom member 21 which is in contact with the upper or the lower face of the beam 151, a vertical member 22 rising from the bottom member 21 at a right angle, and a concrete member 23 formed into a rectangular column in a manner of filling and wrapping the vertical member 22.
