The invention discloses an improved lamp assembly for automobile halogen lamps/bulbs which is simple to construct and easy to assemble. The invention also discloses a method of assembling incandescent lamp and socket assembly which is easy to manufacture. The incandescent lamp and socket assembly is constructed by assembling four subassemblies: a capsule (1) comprising filament (2), flat end (3) and projections (4); an adapter (5) comprising cylindrical surface (5') and flaps (6); a base socket (7) comprising base (8), horizontal fiat surface (9), and connection prongs (14); lugs (12) comprising flat end (10) and semi spherical surface (11).
