PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for using content information in DRM(Digital Rights Management) are provided to check content information according to a right object in a portable device. CONSTITUTION: A meta information management unit(110) checks a content identifier included in a right object that the meta information management unit wants to move. The meta information management unit checks corresponding contents. The meta information management unit checks content information corresponding to the checked contents. The meta information management unit generates meta information including the checked content information. A controller(100) transmits the meta information and the right object generated by the meta information management unit to a portable storage device.
