OPTICAL DISC RECORDING METHOD AND OPTICAL DISC DRIVE USING IT

PURPOSE: An optical disc recording method and an optical disk drive thereof are provided to minimize errors, and record in a short time by optimizing data recording speed. CONSTITUTION: An optical disc is loaded when the optical disk is inserted(S10). Several optical disc information like recording-possible speed is read-out(S20). The residual error of the optical disk surface is measured(S30). The critical location dividing the optical disc is determined based on the measurement(S40). A data record is executed when the high speed possible critical location is confirmed(S50). Data is recorded at a 6x speed in the high speed critical location(S70). Data is recorded at a 4x speed except the high speed critical location(S80).
