<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system including an optical communication means and having high emission luminance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lighting system includes an organic electroluminescence element including at least an anode and a cathode provided on a support substrate, and at least one light emitting layer between the anode and the cathode. The organic electroluminescence element contains at least two kinds of light emitting materials, and has emission of the shortest wavelength of the light emitting materials as the optical communication means.
