PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining a pipe and a member to be joined, in which the joining strength between the pipe and the member to be joined is raised. SOLUTION: A pipe 11 is inserted into an insertion hole 16 provided on the member 15 to be joined, and an adhesive 30 is arranged between the inner circumferential face 17 of the insertion hole 16 and the outer circumferential face 14 of the pipe 11. In this state, of the insertion part 12a into the insertion hole 16 of the pipe 11 and the vicinity parts 12b, 12b on both the sides in the axial direction thereof, at least both the vicinity parts 12b, 12b are subjected to expanding work, so as to join the member 15 to be joined to the pipe 11.
