<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when continuously observing data whose sampling speed is comparatively high, high-rate communication is required, so that a radio band is affected as the number of sensor nodes is increased. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sensor nodes calculate a feature value from observation values obtained in a predetermined period and determine whether the feature value exceeds a predetermined threshold.
