<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably perform boot processing by a desired boot device only by connecting the boot device to a device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Information unique to the device for identifying the boot device having the highest priority for the boot processing is stored in advance. The boot device with the stored information unique to the device set thereto is determined as the highest priority boot device.
