PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a ball screw mechanism while improving the productivity. SOLUTION: The ball screw mechanism 10 is equipped with: a ball screw shaft 12 made of metal material; a displacement nut 14 inserted on the outer peripheral side of the ball screw shaft 12; a steel ball 16 charged between a first screw groove 22 formed on the ball screw shaft 12 and a second screw groove 26 formed on the displacement nut 14; and a pair of first/second return members 18, 20 for circulating the steel ball 16 between one end part side and the other end part side of the displacement nut 14. The first/second return members 18, 20 comprises body parts 28a, 28b mounted to one end part 14a and the other end part 14b of the displacement nut 14, and cylindrical parts 30a, 30b projecting to the body parts 28a, 28b. A return passage 32 for circulating the steel ball 16 is formed inside the body parts 28a, 28b and the cylindrical parts 30a, 30b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
