BOOT FOR STEERING DEVICE, CONSTANT-VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT FOR STEERING DEVICE, AND STEERING DEVICE

A boot for steering devices is provided which retains heat resistance necessary for disposition around an engine, satisfies low-temperature durability necessary in cold districts, and can further retain tear strength.  Also provided are: a constant-velocity universal joint for steering devices which employs the boot; and a steering device employing the universal joint.  This boot (6) for steering devices is to be attached between an outer joint member (1) of a constant-velocity universal joint for use in a steering device and a shaft member extending from an inner joint member (2).  The boot (6) is a vulcanized molding of a rubber composition containing at least one member selected from ethylene/acrylic rubbers, fluororubbers, fluorosilicone rubbers, acrylic rubbers, hydrogenated nitrile rubbers, hydrin rubbers, chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubbers, and ethylene/propylene rubbers.  The boot has a low-temperature embrittlement temperature, as measured in accordance with JIS K 6261, of -40°C or lower.
