PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an energy saving effect, in an illumination control system in which a plurality of luminaires are grouped and persons under each group are detected to control light-on of the luminaires. SOLUTION: This illumination control system 1 is provided with the plurality of luminaires 3 having a communication part, the respective luminaires 3 are communicated each other via the communication parts. The luminaires 3 are divided into person sensing control groups 28, 29. The person sensing control groups 28, 29 include respectively optional number of luminaires 3, and contain the at least luminaire 3 mounted with a person sensor 4. The luminaire 3 mounted with the person sensor 4 transmits a person sensed signal and a communication signal including a light-on holding time set optionally, to the luminaires 3 of the person sensing control group 28 or 29 same to the luminaire 3, when detecting the person.
