<p>Disclosed is the preparation of organic/inorganic hybrid particles comprising magnesium hydroxide cores and tethered copolymer chains whose composition can be selected to allow dispersion in targeted plastic materials, thereby providing improved mechanical, electrical and flame retardant properties.
